It was an “ugly cry”…

During COVID, I couldn’t be in the hospital for Diana’s ultrasound.

I was on FaceTime when she held up the phone to her belly.

I heard my son’s heartbeat for the first time.

I burst into tears.

Not the quiet kind.

The kind where you can’t breathe.

The kind where your whole body shakes because something just cracked open inside you that you didn’t know was there.

In that moment, I realized something that changed everything:

I’ve never loved something so much that has never done anything for me.

Dominic hadn’t earned my love.

He hadn’t performed.

Hadn’t achieved.

Hadn’t proven himself worthy.

He was just there.

A heartbeat.

A future.

And he was already worthy of everything I had to give.

It got me thinking…

I was once that heartbeat too.

Equally worthy.

So where on this journey did I disconnect from that worthiness?

Through school?

Through performance?

Through trying to be the right thing for everyone else?

When did I disconnect from knowing I was worthy just for existing?

This is what I teach now.

Not motivation.

Not hustle.

Not another cute productivity hack.

How to reconnect to the worthiness that was always there.

The Blind Spot Evaluation is where the reconnection begins.
