You Know Better.

So Why Is It So Hard to Do Better When Someone Triggers You?

You can be intelligent, self-aware and deeply committed to your own growth. You may have read the books, listened to the podcasts, gone to therapy and spent years trying to understand why certain people and situations affect you the way they do.

And when you’re calm, you may understand yourself incredibly well.

But then something happens.

Your partner pulls away. A parent criticizes you. A family member crosses a boundary. Your boss questions you. A friend disappoints you. Someone you care about doesn’t respond the way you hoped.

And suddenly, knowing better doesn’t necessarily mean you can do better.

The grounded, thoughtful version of you can become much harder to access.

Maybe You Recognize Yourself Here

You Chase

Something feels wrong and you need reassurance, an answer or resolution now. You text, explain, question, follow up or try to fix the connection because the uncertainty feels unbearable.

You Shut Down

The interaction becomes too much. You withdraw, go quiet, avoid the conversation or create distance because space feels safer than staying in the discomfort.

You Abandon Yourself

You know what you need, but keeping the peace or protecting the relationship feels more important. So you bend the boundary, say yes when you mean no, take on too much or make yourself smaller.

You Lose Trust in Yourself

One day you’re certain. The next you’re questioning everything. You don’t know whether you’re responding to the person and situation in front of you or something deeper that it has activated.

Different People. Different Situations.
The Same Frustrating Question.

“Why do I keep doing this when I already know better?”

The Hardest Part Isn't Always What Happened.

It's What Happens After.

The conversation ends, the meeting is over, or you walk away from the interaction, but you keep replaying it.
You wonder if you said too much. Or not enough.
You question whether you should have spoken up, backed off, held the boundary, said no, explained yourself differently or simply let it go.
Sometimes you’re angry with them.
Sometimes you’re angry with yourself.
And sometimes the hardest realization is:
You’ve been here before.
Different person. Different situation. Different circumstances.
But somehow, the same version of you keeps showing up when you feel triggered.
You may understand the pattern intellectually. You may even understand where it came from.
But when fear, anger, rejection, criticism, uncertainty or overwhelm hits, insight alone doesn’t always stop the reaction.
That’s the gap.

Knowing Why You Do It Is One Thing.

Knowing What to Do When It's Happening Is Another.

What If You Could Stay Connected to Yourself When Relationships Get Hard?

What If You Could Stay Connected to Yourself When Relationships Get Hard?
Imagine recognizing that you’re activated before sending the message you may regret.
Before shutting down. Before abandoning the boundary. Before saying yes when you mean no. Before trying desperately to fix everything.

Before making an important decision from the most activated version of yourself.
Imagine having enough space in that moment to ask:
• What am I actually feeling?
• What am I afraid will happen?
• What do I need right now?
• Is this about what’s happening between us, or what this moment is activating inside me?
• What would my Adult Self choose here?

This isn’t about never getting triggered.
It isn’t about becoming emotionless.
And it certainly isn’t about tolerating behaviour that isn’t okay.

It’s about having more choice in who you become when relationships get hard.

I Know What It's Like to Understand the Pattern and Still Be Caught in It.

Hi, I’m Nima Rahmany.

For years, I struggled with the emotional baggage of my own past and watched painful patterns repeat themselves in my relationships.

A failed marriage and a series of difficult relationships eventually forced me to look beyond what was happening between me and the other person and start asking a different question:

What is happening inside me when I get triggered?

That exploration led me deeper into attachment, trauma bonds, self-abandonment, boundaries and the protective responses that can take over when connection, conflict, criticism or uncertainty activates something inside us.

And one of the most important things I discovered was this:

Understanding your pattern is important. But eventually you need to know what to do when you’re actually inside it.

That’s why I created this mini-course.

A Mini-Course with Nima Rahmany

Bringing Your Adult Self Back Online

Relationship Dynamics Your Therapist Doesn't Teach You

This mini-course was created to help you understand some of the invisible dynamics influencing your relationships and begin recognizing what happens when old protective patterns get activated.

Those patterns may be most obvious with a romantic partner. But they can also show up with family, friends, colleagues, clients and other important people in your life.

The person may change. The situation may change. But the reaction inside you can feel remarkably familiar.

Because there comes a point when the question needs to change from:
“Why am I like this?”
  to:
“What do I do when it’s happening?”

Here's What We'll Explore Together

Go beneath the argument, breakup, shutdown or recurring conflict.

Explore trauma bonds, codependency, self-abandonment and some of the unconscious forces that can influence who you choose, what you tolerate and how you respond when relationships activate you.

Why can two people care deeply about each other and still keep activating painful patterns in one another?

Explore attachment styles, anxious and avoidant dynamics, boundaries, reclaiming yourself inside a relationship and one of the hardest questions people face: Should I stay or should I go?

Understanding the pattern is important. But what do you actually do when you’re in it?

Explore the stories your mind creates when you’re activated, vulnerability, and practical tools including the Four Permissions/SOAP framework.

Insight doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

Explore the role your environment, relationships and support can play in whether new patterns have room to develop or old ones continue to be reinforced.

And You're Getting More Than the Mini-Course

Because understanding the pattern is one thing.
Having additional support to work with what you're uncovering is another.
